MDC Goldenrod is blessed to receive grants from the following groups:

College Mennonite Church: The church has matched the donations of members. This grant has provided up to $6,000 in annual support to MDC Goldenrod. This grant supports the day to day operations of MDC Goldenrod and helps cover services and programs for which limited resources are available.

IU Health Goshen: IU Health Goshen has been a generous supporter of MDC Goldenrod. Because of this grant, the Merimna homes have continued to provide high quality services to eleven individuals who would not likely live as independently as they do today.

Elkhart County Community Foundation: The Elkhart County Community Foundation or ECCF has also been a generous supporter of MDC Goldenrod. ECCF has provided funds to repair and maintain the condition of the various homes MDC Goldenrod operates. In 2011 we were able to renovate two bathrooms as a result of this grant. In 2012 ECCF provided a grant that allowed us to do major renovation in one of the homes at our Goshen campus. In this newly renovated space we opened Hope House, a home designed to provide families and guardians who have a relative or loved one that needs continual care, with a respite – or break – from caregiving duties (see more under Programs tab at top of page)

Indiana Department of Transportation: The last two years MDC Goldenrod has received matching funding from the Indiana Department of Transportation to purchase accessible vehicles.

MDC Goldenrod is always looking for new grant opportunities. If you have an idea or suggestion, please contact Tammy Friesen, Executive Director at [email protected]
